It is a university degree (Master of Laws = LL.M.), which is spelled after the name but can be obtained by studying at a university or institution that is accredited, usually by an international accreditation society. This study is classified as a professional study (professional degree) in the Czech Republic and is mainly focused on practical knowledge and skills most often, as the name suggests, in the field of law. This type of study is suitable for knowledge and orientation in the field of law. It belongs to the second cycle according to the Bologna Process and is referred to in Europe as EQF 7 = Master's degree. In the Czech Republic it is still considered as a professional degree and is not supported by the Act 111/1998 Coll. In the outside world this study has more weight than the study with the degree of Mgr./J.D. The quality of LL.M. study is most often recognized by the content of the educational program (according to the number of ECTS), it should be similar to the university degree according to the Bologna Process.
