What is MSc.?

It is a university degree (Master of Science = MSc.), which is written after the name but can be obtained by studying at a university or institution that is accredited, usually by an international accreditation society. This study is classified as a professional study in the Czech Republic and is mainly focused on practical knowledge and skills most often, as the name suggests, in the field of science. This type of study is suitable for managerial positions in scientific fields such as: IT, Economist or persons who want to hold this position. It belongs to the second cycle of the Bologna Process, in Europe it is referred to as EQF 7 = Master's degree. In the Czech Republic, it is still considered a professional degree and is not supported by Act 111/1998 Coll. The quality of MSc. studies can be most often recognized by the content of the educational programme (according to the number of ECTS), it should be similar to the Bologna Process. Some universities in Europe already give a diploma with the possibility of using a double title, namely Ing. before the name and MSc. after the name.

Admission conditions for the MSc. study:

  • Completed first degree university education (B.C., BBA or other type of study with level EQF6 or higher)

  • You do not need to take entrance exams to study

  • The applicant must be legal and of legal age

  • Submitting an application is free

  • You can apply at any time of the year
